ART TAP episode 042

On tap this week is Jeff Smith, TV anchor at WLFI TV 18. Aside from his duties at the anchor desk, Jeff is also a Renaissance Man farmer and painter. Jeff talks about finding a path to his own artistic enlightenment, through trial and error, looking and reading, and private stress management. He currently has an exhibit at Artists’ Own gallery in downtown Lafayette, called “Landscapes of Our Times: Modern Paintings by Jeff Smith." The exhibit runs through June 9, and there’s a reception connected to the first downtown Gallery Walk of the season on Friday, May 18 from 6 to 9 pm.  http://www.artists-own.com

Jeff’s Look-Ups include an Instagram page of abstract artists, and a shoutout to the Tippecanoe County Public Library - https://tcpl.lib.in.us.  Jeff encourages reading to enrich your understanding of the world and contribute to your artistic and grammatical tools.  Enjoy!
