Episode 010 features an interview with Kelly McBurnette-Andronicos, a self-described “Rural American playwright.” Kelly’s roots are in the Southern Gothic, among "those who share a fascination with the intersection of whimsy and the disturbing…” The interview includes a reading from “To Tread Among Serpents,” a play based on real events in her hometown, and a wonderful Look-up from the Three Stooges.
You can find Kelly online at – http://www.gothicplaywright.com and at the National New Play Exchange, https://newplayexchange.org/users/824/kelly-mcburnette-andronicos
Kelly’s Look-up is “Oh, Elaine” a scene from Squareheads of the Round Table, by the Three Stooges. What a wonderful whiplash departure from the gothic drama!
